Assistant Principal/Special Education Supervisor-Interim Introduction
Marquette Big Red Families we would like you to join us in welcoming our new interim Assistant Principal/Special Education supervisor here at Marquette. Mr. Luis Gomez...
I would like to briefly introduce myself, my name is Luis Gomez and I have the privilege of filling the role of Assistant Principal/Special Education Supervisor-Interim at Marquette Elementary. I am honored to be in this position and look forward to working with Mrs. Scott, Mr. Perez, and the staff in making this a great year.
I have spent the past 2 years as a Special Education teacher at Muskegon Middle School, however, I have been in education for over 13 years in the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. I am a graduate of Wayne State University where I earned a Bachelor’s in Special education and a Master’s in Special Education.. To complement these degrees, I am completing the requirements for a K-12 Principal’s/Special Education Certificate from Wayne State University this Spring.
My goal is to maintain a positive and safe learning environment for students and staff, where every child is provided the support and resources necessary to be successful in and outside the classroom. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year do not hesitate to call the main office or contact me by email. I believe open lines of communication are extremely important and will work closely with the building principals to address your concerns. I look forward to meeting all of you and working together throughout the year. Go Big Reds!
