General Information

The Facilities Department of Muskegon Public Schools is directly responsible for the maintenance and operation of the 10 school facilities. This encompasses approximately 140 acres of land with more than 1.5 million square feet of building space to maintain

The facilities include:
Hackley Administration building
5 elementary schools
1 Middle schools
1 High School campus (Main building, Redmond Potter Gymnasium, J Manual Building)
1 Alternative School
District Service Maintenance and Transportation Center

The athletic fields include:
Hackley Stadium
Wilson practice field
Middle School field
Middle School running track
Nelson Soccer field
Swimming pool at the High School

This department employs more than 90 people, consisting of maintenance, grounds, vehicle mechanics, transportation drivers and custodial staff. We strive to maintain Muskegon Public Schools facilities at the highest standards, saving energy and operating dollars wherever possible.
