MISSION STATEMENT

The Muskegon Public Middle Schools aim to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and compassionate young people. 

Through the provision of a rigorous, international curriculum, students are challenged to achieve mastery of essential skills while fostering understanding and respect.

By partnering with families, communities, and other organizations, we encourage our students to embrace the diversity of all people.

* The awards assembly will be held in the auditorium.  Parents and guests are invitied to attend.  Come and celebrate with your students.

 

8th Grade Dance

The final 8th grade dance will be held on Tuesday, June 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 in the cafeteria. All 8th grade students passing all of their classes are invited to attend.  Please remember to dress accordingly - the school dress code will be enforced!  Please come and join the fun!

COMMUNITY READ - IQBAL

This year all students and staff will read the book "Iqbal" beginning April 12.  This event brings all of our students together to learn about another culture and world problem.  Please ask your students about this book.  On Friday, May 7, our students will discuss Child Labor around the world.  They will be participating in activities to raise their awareness of this problem.

EARTH DAY - APRIL 22ND

Steele Middle School students observed Earth Day by participating in a variety of clean-up efforts throughout the community!  We appreciate our students and all the hard work they did!  They cleaned our beaches, Ryerson creek , the Farmers Market and our school yard!  Steele students care about their Earth!
